Alexander, St., Schüler des alex. Clemens, Bischof von Flavias in Cappadocien, unter Septimius Severus wegen seines Glaubens eingekerkert, später Coadjutor des Bischofs Nicephorus von Jerusalem, daher Hierosolymitanus genannt, starb um die Mitte des 3. Jahrh. während der Christenverfolgung des Kaisers Decius im Kerker zu Cäsarea.
