Beer [2]

Beer (Michael), Bruder des vorigen, dram. Dichter, geb. 1800 zu Berlin, studierte in Berlin und hielt sich nach seinen Reisen durch Frankreich und Italien in München auf, wo er 1833 starb. Seine gelungensten Tragödien sind »der Paria« 1823 u. »Struensee« 1829, kraftvolle Dichtungen mit herrlicher Sprache. Frühere Dichtungen sind »Klytemnestra« 1819 und »die Bräute von Aragonien.« Seine sämmtlichen Werke gab Ed. von Schenk heraus 1835, zugleich mit Biographie.
