Agabus, Prophet zur Zeit der Apostel (nach der griech. Legende einer der 70 Jünger und zu Antiochia gemartert), weissagte die Theurung unter Kaiser Claudius und die Gefangenschaft des Paulus (Apostelgesch. XI, 28; XXI, 10).
