Ahimelech, hoher Priester zu Nobe, nahm den vor Saul fliehenden David auf, speiste ihn von den Schaubroten und gab ihm das Schwert Goliaths; dafür vertilgte Saul den A. und 85 Priester mit allen Angehörigen.
