Vitriol

Vitriol, werden im weitern Sinne alle schwefelsauren Metallsalze genannt. Man hat davon die verschiedensten Sorten: Eisenvitriol, grauen V., Kupferwasser; letzteres ist der gewöhnlichste und in der Regel versteht man diesen, wenn man V. ohne weitern Zusatz nennt. Alle V'e haben einen zusammenziehenden, metallischen Geschmack und sind im Wasser auflöslich.
