Der Alpen-Tragant (Astragalus alpinus) ist eine Pflanzenart der Gattung Tragant (Astragalus) in der Familie der Hülsenfrüchtler (Fabaceae).

Beschreibung

Der Alpen-Tragant ist eine ausdauernde Pflanze, die Wuchshöhen bis 30 Zentimetern erreicht. Sie ist zerstreut bedeckt mit Haaren, die einfach, anliegend und grau sind. Der Stängel ist niederliegend bis aufsteigend. Die Blätter sind oberseits kahl und unpaarig gefiedert. Die 15 bis 25 Blättchen sind elliptisch und stumpf. Die Nebenblätter sind 3 bis 5 Millimeter lang und häutig. Der Blütenstand ist eine 5 bis 15-blütige Traube. Die Blüten sind abstehend oder nickend. Die Blütenstiele sind 1 bis 2 Millimeter lang. Die Krone ist weiß-lila mit blauviolettem Schiffchen. Die Flügel sind weißlich, ganzrandig und kürzer als das Schiffchen. Die Kelchzipfel sind beinahe ebenso lang wie die Kelchröhre.

Die Blütezeit ist Juni bis August.

Vorkommen und Standort

Der Alpen-Tragant kommt in den Alpen, den Pyrenäen, den Karpaten, dem Kaukasus, in Zentralasien und im arktischen Bereich subalpin bis alpin auf Rasen und Moränen auf kalkreichen Böden in Höhenlagen bis 3100 Meter vor.
