Pipavav ist ein Ort an der Küste von Gujarat in Indien. Er liegt im Distrikt Amreli.

Container Terminal Pipavav

In Pipavav wurde eine moderne Anlage zum Abwracken von Schiffen mit Hilfe von japanischen Investoren gebaut. Diese Abwrackwerft ist nach moderneren Gesichtspunkten als die primitiven Anlagen im benachbarten Alang gestaltet worden. Sie weist riesige Trockendocks auf, die eine umweltverträgliche Entsorgung von Öltankern ermöglichen. Die Anlage war jedoch vollständig ungenutzt, als sie von Greenpeace-Mitgliedern besucht wurde.
