Augmented intelligence

Erweiterte Intelligenz (engl. augmented intelligence [ɔːɡˈmɛntɪd ˌɪnˈtɛlɪdʒəns]) nennt man die Erhöhung der Intelligenz durch technische Hilfsmittel. Geräte sollen über eine Gehirn-Computer-Schnittstelle direkt mit dem Gehirn verbunden werden und dadurch dessen Leistungsfähigkeit erhöhen. Erweiterte Intelligenz ist derzeit technisch noch nicht einmal ansatzweise möglich, wird aber in der Futurologie als mögliche zukünftige Technologie zur Herbeiführung der Technologischen Singularität gehandelt.
