Premier League 1996/97

Die Saison 1996/97 war die 5. Saison der Premier League, welche von der FA veranstaltet wurde, und gleichzeitig die 98. Erstligasaison im englischen Fußball. Meister wurde Manchester United. In die First Division mussten Aufsteiger FC Sunderland sowie Nottingham Forest und FC Middlesbrough absteigen. Torschützenkönig wurde mit 25 Treffern Alan Shearer von Newcastle United.

Die Saison dauerte vom 17. August 1996 bis zum 11. Mai 1997.
