Five Finger Death Punch (auch 5FDP oder FFDP genannt) ist eine US-amerikanische Heavy-Metal-Band.

Geschichte

Five Finger Death Punch wurde im Jahr 2005 vom Gitarrist Zoltan Bathory gegründet. Er holte den Sänger Ivan L. Moody, den Gitarristen Darrell Roberts, den Drummer Jeremy Spencer sowie den Bassisten Matt Snell kurz darauf zu sich.

Ihr Debutalbum The Way of the Fist haben sie im Jahre 2006 mit Stevo „Shotgun“ Bruno und Mike Sarkisyan aufgenommen. Die Aufnahme wurde von Logan Mader (Machine Head / Soulfly) gemixt und geleitet. Im Juni wurde bekannt, dass die Band einen Vertrag mit „Firm Music“ unterzeichnet hat, welche zu „The Firm“ (Korn, Staind, Limp Bizkit) gehört. Ihr Debütalbum erschien am 31. Juli 2007.
