Flüsse in der Grafschaft Kent

Der Fluss Rother (früherer Namen Limen) ist mit 56 km einer der längsten Flüsse von Ost-Sussex, England. Der Fluss entspringt in der Nähe von Rotherfield (Ost-Sussex) und mündet hinter Rye an der englischen Küste in den Ärmelkanal. Seine Nebenflüsse heißen Tillingham und Brede.

Der Flussabschnitt unterhalb von Bodiam Castle ist schiffbar; nördlich liegt die ehemalige, heute einen Hügel in der Flachlandschaft bildende Insel Oxney, und in der Nähe von Rye trifft der Fluss auf die im Osten liegende Romney Marsh.

Der Fluss durchfließt oder passiert die Ortschaften von Etchingham, Robertsbridge, Bodiam, Northiam und Wittersham.

Der Fluss hat in West-Sussex einen Namensvetter: Rother (West-Sussex).
