St. Kitts (engl. Saint Kitts) ist eine Insel in der Karibik. Sie ist auch noch unter ihrem früheren Namen Saint Christopher bekannt.

St. Kitts bildet zusammen mit der Insel Nevis den Inselstaat St. Kitts und Nevis. Während der letzten Eiszeit war der Meeresspiegel ca. 60 m niedriger und St. Kitts, Nevis, Sint Eustatius und Saba bildeten eine zusammenhängende Insel.

Die Insel liegt 2.021 km südöstlich von Miami. Die Entfernung zu Sint Eustatius im Norden beträgt 13 km, nach Nevis im Süden 3 km. Die Landfläche beträgt 169 km² (max. Ausdehnung 30 x 10 km).

Auf der Insel leben ca. 39.000 Menschen, die Mehrheit sind Nachfahren von afrikanischen Sklaven. Die Hauptsprache ist Englisch. Die Einwohner von St. Kitts nennen sich selbst Kittians.

Die Hauptstadt des Inselstaats, Basseterre, befindet sich auf St. Kitts, welches auch die größte Hafenstadt ist.

Auf St. Kitts liegen drei vulkanische Gebirgsketten: im Nordwesten die Mount Misery-Bergkette, in der Mitte die Verchilds-Bergkette und im Südosten die Olivees-Bergkette. Der höchste Punkt ist mit 1.156 m der ruhende Vulkan Mount Liamugia, vormals Mount Misery.
