Die Original 24-Sekunden-Uhr (Shotclock) in Syracuse, New York

Die Wurfuhr (engl.: shot clock) ist eine Zeitanzeige im Basketball. Auf ihr werden die verbleibenden Sekunden bis zum Ablauf der 24-Sekunden-Angriffszeit in der NBA (35 Sekunden in der NCAA) angezeigt. In den letzten 5 Sekunden gibt es ebenfalls akustische Signale. Die Wurfuhr wurde am 23. April 1954 in der NBA eingeführt, um die Geschwindigkeit und damit die Attraktivität des Spiels zu erhöhen.
