Tonino Guerra (* 16. März 1920 in Santarcangelo di Romagna, Italien) ist ein italienischer Schriftsteller, Lyriker und Drehbuchautor.

Leben

Erste Gedichte in romagnolischem Dialekt während der Haft in dem Arbeitslager von Troisdorf bei Bonn. Freundschaft mit Federico Fellini, die im Film Amarcord mündete, mit Michelangelo Antonioni und mit Andrei Tarkowski. Guerra lebt derzeit als Ehrenbürger in Pennabilli.

Als Drehbuchautor schrieb er das Drehbuch zu Dellamorte Dell Amore.

1983 führte er das erste und einzige Mal Regie, es entstand der Film Tempo di viaggio.

Tonino Guerra war drei Mal für den Oscar nominiert. 1984 wurde er auf den Internationalen Filmfestspielen von Cannes für das Beste Drehbuch ausgezeichnet. 2002 wurde er mit dem Europäischem Filmpreis für sein Lebenswerk ausgezeichnet.
