Tzi Ma

Tzi Ma (chinesisch 馬志) (* 10. Juni 1962 in Hongkong) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler chinesischer Herkunft.

Leben

Tzi Ma stammt aus Hongkong und wuchs in New York auf. Dort studierte er klassisches Theater und Tanz. Er trat in verschiedenen US-amerikanischen Filmen auf. Seine größten Rollen hatte er in den Streifen Der stille Amerikaner, Ladykillers, Rush Hour sowie Rush Hour 3.

Einen größeren Bekanntheitsgrad erreichte Ma mit der Rolle des undurchsichtigen Cheng Zhi in der Echtzeitserie 24, in der er bisher in drei Staffeln mitspielte. Weitere Auftritte hatte Ma in Fernsehserien wie Walker, Texas Ranger, Law & Order, Emergency Room – Die Notaufnahme, Chicago Hope – Endstation Hoffnung, Raumschiff Enterprise: Das nächste Jahrhundert, L.A. Law – Staranwälte, Tricks, Prozesse und New York Cops – NYPD Blue.

Tzi Ma spricht fließend Englisch, Kantonesisch und Mandarin. Er ist seit 1994 verheiratet mit Christina Ma und lebt abwechselnd in New York und Los Angeles.
