Die University of New South Wales (UNSW, dt.: Universität Neusüdwales) ist eine Universität in der australischen Stadt Sydney. Sie wurde im Jahre 1949 gegründet und hat heute rund 40.000 Studenten. Der Hauptcampus befindet sich im Ostteil der Stadt im Stadtteil Kensington.

Heute ist die UNSW eine der angesehensten Lehr- und Forschungsinstitutionen in Australien und gehört zur Group of Eight (dt.: Gruppe der Acht), der Vereinigung der acht führenden australischen Universitäten[1]. Sie besitzt einen besonders guten Ruf in ingenieurswissenschaftlichen Disziplinen. Laut Times Higher Education Supplement (THES) gehört UNSW zu den besten 20 Universitäten weltweit in Ingenieurswissenschaften; das MBA-Programm der Australian School of Business liegt auf Platz 39.[2] Die Universität als Ganzes wurde von THES 2006 auf Platz 41 und von Newsweek auf Platz 64 weltweit eingestuft.
