Bassano ist eine Kleinstadt in Alberta, Kanada mit 1.345 Einwohnern. Sie liegt am Trans-Canada Highway und an der Canadian Pacific Railway. Südlich von Bassano befindet sich der Bassado Dam, der der Trinkwasserversorgung der umliegenden Gemeinden und der Feldbewässerung dient.

Bekannte Persönlichkeiten aus Bassano sind unter anderem Jim Henshaw, Fernsehschauspieler,Mike Toth, ein kanadischer Sportreporter und Brian Maloney,ein Eishockeyspieler.

Der auf 792m Höhe gelegene Ort hatte 2006 eine Bevölkerung von 1.345, die sich auf 554 Haushalte verteilte. Bei einer Fläche von 5,16km² ergibt sich eine Bevölkerungsdichte von 260,8 Einwohnern pro Quadratkilometer.[1]
