A.Rich.

Achille Richard (* 27. April 1794 in Paris; † 5. Oktober 1852 ebenda) war ein französischer Botaniker und Mediziner. Er war der Sohn des Botanikers Louis Claude Marie Richard (1754–1821). Sein offizielles botanisches Autorenkürzel lautet „A.Rich.“.

Achille Richard war Pharmazeut in der französischen Flotte und Mitglied mehrerer bedeutender Akademien, so ab 1834 der Académie des sciences.

Von 1830 bis 1833 schrieb er zusammen mit Jean Baptiste Antoine Guillemin (1796–1842) und Samuel Perrottet (1793–1859) das Werk Florae Senegambiae tentamen, seu Historia plantarum in diversis Senegambiae regionibus a peregrinatoribus Perrottet et Leprieur detectarum (erschienen bei Treuttel et Wurtz, Paris), eine Florabeschreibung Senegals.

Richard hatte eine Tochter Antoinette Richard (* 1821) sowie zwei Söhne Félix-Adolphe Richard (1822–1872) und Gustave Richard (1827–1857), die beide Mediziner waren.
