Die Stadt Watson Lake ist das "Tor zum Yukon River" am Alaska Highway im Südosten des Territoriums Yukon.

Der Ort ist vor allem durch den Schilderwald Sign Post Forest bekannt, der 1942 von einem heimwehkranken Soldaten begonnen wurde. Heute umfasst er etwa 50.000 Straßen-, Orts- und andere Schilder von Touristen aus der ganzen Welt.

Watson Lake liegt in der Nähe des Liard River an der Kreuzung des Robert Campbell Highway und des Alaska Highway. Die Stadt kann ebenso über den Watson Lake Airport erreicht werden.
