Benny + The Jets ist eine Pop-Rock-Band aus Augsburg. Die Band wurde von Benny Rinkenburger 2007 gegründet. Songwriter Benny komponiert alle Songs und Melodien und schreibt die Texte in Deutsch.

Bandgeschichte

Das Logo

Benny gründete mit 11 Jahren eine eigene Band. Er schrieb dafür die Songs selbst und kümmerte sich um die Auftritte. Dadurch konnte er schon früh Erfahrungen sammeln und Kontakte knüpfen. Da aber die anderen Bandmitglieder nicht in den professionellen Bereich wollten, entschloss sich Benny alleine weiterzumachen.

Er versuchte sich in den folgenden Jahren im Songwriting weiter zu entwickeln und baute neben Schule und Abitur ein kleines Studio auf, um Demosongs bzw. Democds aufzunehmen, die er dann an Plattenfirmen verschickte. Schließlich wurde er von der Plattenfirma X-cell Records nach Berlin eingeladen. Er nahm seine Gitarre mit und spielte einige seiner Stücke. Daraufhin bekam er einen Plattenvertrag. Für sein Album spielte er den Gesang und alle Instrumente selbst ein.

Für Liveauftritte holte sich Benny noch drei weitere Musiker, die er schon lange aus der Augsburger Musikszen kannte, in die Band und die Formation wurde Benny + The Jets genannt.

Benny wurde am 4. Juni 1986 in Augsburg geboren. Er lernte 8-12 Jahre Gitarre und brachte sich E-Gitarre, Gesang und diverse Instrumente selbst bei. Sein Abitur machte er 2005. Er studiert Assyriologie und Ägyptologie.
