Bernard J. McLaughlin

Bernard Joseph McLaughlin (* 19. November 1912 in Buffalo, New York, USA) ist emeritierter römisch-katholischer Weihbischof im Bistum Buffalo.

Leben

Bernard Joseph McLaughlin empfing am 21. Dezember 1935 die Priesterweihe für das Bistum Buffalo.

Am 28. Dezember 1968 ernannte ihn Papst Paul VI. zum Titularbischof von Motula und bestellte ihn zum Weihbischof im Bistum Buffalo. Die Bischofsweihe spendete ihm am 6. Januar 1969 Papst Paul VI. selbst; Mitkonsekratoren waren der damalige Sekretär der Kongregation für die Evangelisierung der Völker und spätere Kurienkardinal Sergio Pignedoli und damalige Sekretär der Konsistorialkongregation und spätere Kurienkardinal Ernesto Civardi.

1988 wurde seinem Rücktrittsgesuch durch Papst Johannes Paul II. stattgegeben.
