Building of Fun

BOF ist eine aus Slowenien stammende Kaufhaus-Handelskette für Unterhaltungselektronik. BOF steht für „Building of Fun“.

Es gab in Österreich zwei BOF-Kaufhäuser, eines in Graz-Webling (Einkaufszentrum „Center West“) und ein BOF Kaufhaus in Wien in der Kärtnerstraße (im Steffl). Beide Kaufhäuser wurden nach einigen Jahren 2005 am österreichischen Markt wieder geschlossen.

Gründer ist Jurij Schollmayer. Als außergewöhnlich anzusehen ist, dass diese Kette aus Slowenien nach Österreich expandiert hat – und nicht umgekehrt, wie es bei neuen EU-Mitgliedern so häufig der Fall ist.
