Babīte ist ein Ort in Lettland 13 km westlich vom Zentrum Rigas.

Der Ort liegt im Einzugsbereich Rigas und gehörte zeitweise auch administrativ zu dieser Stadt. In der Nähe ist ein mittelalterlicher Burghügel (lat: Castrum Babat, im Volksmund Polenhügel). Hier befand sich während des Nordischen Krieges ein Heerlager.

Babītes novads

2009 entstand durch Angliederung der Gemeinde Sala im Rahmen der neuen Verwaltungsgliederung Lettlands der Bezirk Babītes novads. Das Verwaltungszentrum des Bezirks befindet sich in Piņķi.
