Centocor ist ein US-amerikanisches Biotechnologie-Unternehmen, das 1979 in Philadelphia, gegründet wurde und heute in Malvern, Pennsylvania, seinen Hauptsitz hat. Centocor gehört seit 1999 zu Johnson & Johnson. Centocor produziert an den Standorten Malvern, Leiden (Niederlande),St. Louis (USA), Missouri) und Cork (Irland).

Ursprünglich wurde Centocor gegründet, um monoklonale Antikörper zu diagnostischen Zwecken zu entwickeln. So entwickelte Centocor 1982 einen Test zur Diagnose des Rabies-Virus. 1998 brachte Centocor das Medikament Remicade (Infliximab) zur Marktreife, einer der meist angewendeten monoklonalen Antikörper für Morbus Crohn. Remicade wird heute auch zur Therapie von rheumatoider Arthritis und in anderen Indikationen angewendet.

Ein weiteres Medikament von Centocor ist ReoPro® (Abciximab).

Seit der Übernahme durch Johnson & Johnson hat Centocor seinen Umsatz von etwa 500 Mio US$ auf geschätzte 2 Mrd US$ gesteigert, im selben Zeitraum wurden die Ausgaben für die Forschung von 75 Mio US$ auf über 300 Mio US$ erhöht.
