Lisala ist eine Stadt in der Provinz Équateur im Norden der Demokratischen Republik Kongo und laut der revidierten Verwaltungsreform im Zuge der Verfassung von 2005 Hauptstadt der Provinz Mongala, die jedoch noch nicht umgesetzt wurde. Der Kongo-Fluss fließt durch die Stadt. Laut einer Kalkulation im Jahr 2010 beträgt die Einwohnerzahl Lisalas 79.235.[1]

Lisala ist Geburtsstadt von Mobutu Sese Seko, der von 1965 bis 1997 Präsident des diktatorisch geführten Staates Zaire war.
