Pfizer Award (History of Science Society)

Der Pfizer Award der History of Science Society ist ein vom Unternehmen Pfizer geförderter Wissenschaftspreis auf dem Gebiet der Wissenschaftsgeschichte.

Der Preis wurde 1958 gestiftet und 1959 erstmals vergeben. Er zeichnet herausragende Bücher zur Wissenschaftsgeschichte aus, die in den drei Jahren vor der Preisvergabe auf Englisch erschienen sind. Da die Society for the History of Technology und die American Association for the History of Medicine eigene Preise vergeben, werden Werke zur Technikgeschichte und Medizingeschichte nur ausnahmsweise berücksichtigt. Der Preis ist mit 2.500 US-Dollar dotiert. Außerdem erhält der Preisträger eine Medaille.
