Wallenrod ist ein Stadtteil der Kreisstadt Lauterbach im Vogelsbergkreis in Hessen.

Ortsvorsteher ist Karl-Heinz Butzer (Stand: Mai 2011).

Der Ort liegt in Oberhessen und hat einen Bahnhof an der Vogelsbergbahn. In Wallenrod treffen sich die Landesstraßen 3144 und 3165.

Das Dorf wird erstmals im Jahre 1294 erwähnt, und zwar mit dem Ortsnamen Waldenrode. Die Kirche wurde 1728 erbaut. 1806 wurde der Ort hessisch. Seit 1902 hat Wallenrod eine Molkerei.
