Ad-Aware [ˌæd ə'weə(ɹ)], auch Ad-aware, ist der Markenname einer Software des schwedischen Unternehmens Lavasoft zum Aufspüren und Löschen von Adware und Spyware.

Ad-Aware gab es ursprünglich nur als Freeware-Version (Personal), jedoch veröffentlichte Lavasoft nach einiger Zeit auch zwei kommerzielle Versionen: Plus und Pro. Das Programm läuft unter allen Windows-Varianten ab Windows 2000.

Ad-Aware zeichnet sich besonders durch seine Aktualisierungsmöglichkeiten aus, durch die es sehr leicht sein soll, den Rechner vor neuer Spyware zu schützen. Etwa jede Woche wird eine Referenzdatei herausgegeben, die Daten über die neuesten Adware und Spyware enthält, nach denen gesucht werden soll.

Das Programm untersucht neben den aktuell laufenden Prozessen auch die Registry, die Favoriten und Cookies im Internet Explorer und alle Dateien in einem angegebenen Verzeichnis auf Spyware hin. Zudem kann er die Leistungen von RegHance nutzen.
