Natalie Dormer (* 11. Februar 1982 in Reading, England) ist eine britische Schauspielerin.

Leben und Leistungen

Dormer absolvierte ihr Schauspielausbildung an der renommierten Londoner Webber Douglas Akademie, wo unter anderem Rupert Friend, Minnie Driver, Matthew Goode und Hugh Bonneville als Darsteller unterrichtet wurden. Abseits ihrer künstlerischen Arbeit singt die 1,68 m große Schauspielerin Mezzosopran, ficht und ist sogar Mitglied der Londoner Fechtakademie.

Ihr Filmdebüt gab die fließend Französisch sprechende Dormer 2005 in Casanova als Victoria, an der Seite von Heath Ledger, Jeremy Irons und Sienna Miller. Ihre Rolle war am Anfang nur als kleine Nebenrolle gedacht, doch sie beeindruckte den Regisseur Lasse Hallström so sehr, dass er ihre Rolle erweiterte und mehr komische Teile einbrachte, als er sah, wie gut Natalie Dormer mit Humor umgehen konnte. Es war bis jetzt ihr einziger Auftritt in einem Film, ansonsten hatte sie nur kleine Rollen in verschiedenen britischen Fernsehserien.

In der Fernsehserie Die Tudors – Mätresse des Königs übernahm sie neben Jonathan Rhys Meyers von 2007 bis 2008 in 20 Folgen die Rolle der Anne Boleyn. Nach der 2.Staffel der Tudors arbeitet sie oft als Model und ist in zahlreichen Shows zu sehen.
