Faray (lokal auch Fara) ist eine kleine Insel im nördlichen Teil des Orkney Archipels.

Gemeinsam mit der nördlich gelegenen Insel Holm of Faray markiert sie die höchsten Punkte der Landbrücke zwischen den Inseln Eday und Westray, wie sie noch in der Jungsteinzeit bestand.

Faray ist seit ca. 1936 unbewohnt. Beide Inseln werden aber wegen der guten Weidegründe bis heute saisonal als Schafsweide genutzt.

Mehrere kleinere Bodendenkmale und Ruinen von cottages zeugen von der ehemaligen Besiedlung.
