Farhadi

Asghar Farhadi (persisch ‏اصغر فرهادی‎; * 1972 in Isfahan, Iran) ist ein iranischer Drehbuchautor und Regisseur.

1998 schloss er seine Studium an der Tehran University ab. Sein Erstlingswerk Raghs dar ghobar gewann beim Moskau-Filmfestival den Film Critics Award und den Preis für den besten Hauptdarsteller. Farhadis zweiter Film Shah-re ziba gewann beim Warschau Filmfestival 2004 (Bester Film), beim India International Film Festival und beim Moskau Faces of Love Film Festival. Es folgten weitere Auszeichnungen bei internationalen Film-Festivals. 2009 erhielt er bei den Internationale Filmfestspielen in Berlin den Silbernen Bären für die beste Regie im Film Alles über Elly.
