George Calvert, 1. Baron Baltimore (* um 1578-1580 in Kiplin, North Yorkshire; † 15. April 1632 in Lincoln's Inn Fields, London) war ein englischer Staatsmann.

Baltimore war seit 1619 Staatssekretär Jakobs I. und Karls I. Er behauptete sich im Ministerium auch, nachdem er 1624 katholisch geworden war. Er wurde 1625 zum Lord Baltimore ernannt und erhielt von Karl I., nachdem eine von ihm in Neufundland angelegte Kolonie (Ferryland) misslungen war, einen Landstrich an der Nordgrenze von Virginia zum Geschenk, den der König zu Ehren seiner Gemahlin Henriette Marie Maryland nannte.

Die 1729 in Maryland angelegte Stadt Baltimore wurde ihm zu Ehren so genannt; seine Nachkommen behaupteten die Regierung der Kolonie bis zum amerikanischen Unabhängigkeitskrieg.
