George Raft (* 26. September 1895 in New York City; † 24. November 1980 in Los Angeles) war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler.

Raft wurde als George Ranft im Washington Heights (163rd St. und Amsterdam Avenue) als Sohn von Eva Glockner, einer deutschen Einwanderin, und Conrad Ranft geboren. Seine Eltern fanden in den 1920er Jahren als Tänzer in New Yorker Clubs Beachtung.

1928 ging er nach Hollywood, um in der Filmmetropole sein Glück zu suchen. Seinen ersten Film drehte er 1929 ebenfalls als Tänzer in einem Nachtclub. Der gutaussehende Raft wurde dann in den 1930er Jahren vor allem durch Kriminalfilme ein Star. Ab 1945 war er ein Star der Schwarzen Serie in Hollywood.

Raft starb im Alter von 85 Jahren an Leukämie und wurde im Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, beigesetzt. Er erhielt auf dem Hollywood Walk of Fame einen Stern für seine Leistungen im Film, 6150 Hollywood Boulevard, und einen, 1500 Vine St., für seine Karriere beim Fernsehen.

1991 erschien der biographische Film Bugsy, in dem Joe Mantegna Raft darstellte.
