Gordonstoun ist eine internationale schottische Privatschule.

Sie wurde 1934 durch den aus Deutschland geflohenen Reformpädagogen Kurt Hahn gegründet, auf den auch die Schulen Schloss Salem, Birklehof und Louisenlund zurückgehen.

Gordonstoun liegt bei Elgin in einem Gebäude aus dem 17. Jahrhundert.

Zahlreiche Prominente haben Gordonstoun besucht.

Gordonstoun besuchen sowohl britische als auch Schüler aus Österreich, Deutschland, Amerika und aus asiatischen Ländern. Die Schule ist Teil der Round-Square-Vereinigung, einem Zusammenschluss von internationalen Schulen. Die Vereinigung hat ihren Name durch eines der Hauptgebäude auf dem Campus bekommen, das wie der Name sagt, rund ist. Der Innenhof dieses Gebäudes ist ebenfalls rund. Kombiniert mit dem Wort Platz - square - aus dem Englischen ergibt sich: Runder Platz.

Roundsquare ist auch der Name eines historischen Gebäudes, eines der elf Häuser in dem die Schüler untergebracht sind. Einmal im Jahr findet die sogenannte Round Square Conference statt, an der Vertreter von allen Schulen der Round-Square-Vereinigung teilnehmen, darunter auch die Schule Schloss Salem am Bodensee und die Schule Birklehof. Gordonstoun ist eine Boarding School, die über mehrere Gebäude verteilt ist, darunter auch das Schloss Gordonstoun.
