.be ist die länderspezifische Top-Level-Domain (ccTLD) Belgiens. Sie existiert seit August 1988 und wird vom gemeinnützigen Unternehmen DNS BE verwaltet.[1]

Registrierungen finden ausschließlich auf zweiter Ebene statt und müssen über einen Domain-Name-Registrar erfolgen, ansonsten gibt es keine weiteren Beschränkungen.[2]

Aktuell gibt es über 1.143.396 (Stand Mai 2011) Adressen unter der Domain .be. Die Website YouTube verwendet die Domain .be als verkürzte URL (youtu.be).
