Handlung

Das deutsche U-Boot U 429 versenkt während des Zweiten Weltkriegs die U.S.S. Swordfish. Die Matrosen der U.S.S. Swordfish werden gefangengenommen. Später beschädigt ein Zerstörer der US Navy das deutsche U-Boot. Als in der U 429 eine Seuche ausbricht, arbeiten die Amerikaner und die Deutschen zusammen.

Kritiken

Ed Gonzalez schrieb im „Slant Magazine“, dass der Film nach dem Anfang melodramatisch sei. Jedem Mitglied der Besatzung der U.S.S. Swordfish entspreche ein identischer Charakter in der Besatzung der U 429.[1]

David Johnson schrieb auf www.dvdverdict.com, dass die Handlung nicht besonders stark sei. Er lobte die Präsenz von William H. Macy.[2]
