Die 1881 gegründete Organisation Amerikanisches Rotes Kreuz (engl. American Red Cross) ist die nationale Rotkreuz-Organisation in den Vereinigten Staaten. Sie ist Mitglied der Internationalen Rotkreuz- und Rothalbmond-Bewegung und hat ihren Sitz in der Bundeshauptstadt Washington (District of Columbia).

Das Amerikanische Rotes Kreuz hat etwa eine Million Freiwillige und rund 30.000 hauptamtliche Mitarbeiter. Zu den freiwilligen Helfern gehörten auch Mitglieder der American Women's Voluntary Service Organization. Es gibt etwa 800 regionale Organisationseinheiten (engl. chapters). Präsident der Organisation (Chief Executive Officer of the American Red Cross) ist seit April 2007 Mark W. Everson (* 1954).

Aufgaben des Roten Kreuzes sind Katastrophenschutz (auch im Ausland), Ausbildung von Ersthelfern und Durchführung und Versand von Blutspenden.
