John Caister Bennett

John Caister Bennett (meist Jack Bennett; * 6. April 1914 in Estcourt Natal; † 30. Mai 1990 in Pretoria) war ein südafrikanischer Astronom.

Bennett war Mitglied der Astronomical Society of Southern Africa, deren Präsident er 1969 wurde. Bennett gab zwei Listen von 152 Kometenähnlichen heraus (1969/1974) heraus, die später zum Bennett Katalog kombiniert wurden. Außerdem entdeckte er zwei Kometen.
