Anjuli

Anjuli, auch Anjali, ist ein in Indien gebräuchlicher, hinduistischer weiblicher Vorname und bedeutet "Gottesgeschenk". Anjali nennt man auch die Geste mit den zum Gruß gefalteten Händen.

In Indien ist der Name sehr verbreitet und mit zusätzlicher Bedeutung ausgestattet wie zum Beispiel: weiß, rein, wissend, schön, demütig, glücksbringend, die Glückliche, also eine Vereinigung vieler positiver Charaktereigenschaften, die sich aus dem Ursprung des Namens ableiten lassen.

Im Westen wurde der Name bekannt durch das Buch und den Film "Palast der Winde" und den Bollywood Film "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" (Und ganz plötzlich ist es Liebe).
