Leizhou (雷州市) ist eine kreisfreie Stadt in der chinesischen Provinz Guangdong. Sie gehört zur bezirksfreien Stadt Zhanjiang, hat eine Fläche von 3.523 km² und ca. 1,51 Mio. Einwohner (2003). In Leizhou wird Yüeh gesprochen. Die Stadt befindet sich auf der Halbinsel Leizhou (Leizhou Bandao) zwischen dem Golf von Tonking und dem Südchinesischen Meer.

Administrative Gliederung

Auf Gemeindeebene ist Leizhou in drei Straßenviertel und achtzehn Großgemeinden untergliedert.

Sehenswürdigkeiten

Der Leizu-Tempel (Leizu ci 雷祖祠) (für Chen Wenyu) steht seit 1996 auf der Liste der Denkmäler der Volksrepublik China (4-181).
