Die Monoklonale Gammopathie unklarer Signifikanz (MGUS) ist eine Ausschlussdiagnose, wenn in einer Blut- oder Urinuntersuchung eine Paraproteinämie aufgefallen ist und ein Multiples Myelom und ein Morbus Waldenström ausgeschlossen werden konnte.

Da gerade in den ersten Jahren nach Diagnosestellung eine Konvertierung in ein Multiples Myelom (1% pro Jahr) möglich ist, sind regelmäßige Nachuntersuchungen notwendig.

Diagnosekriterien

Nachweis einer monoklonalen Antikörperproduktion, sowie:

  • M-Protein <3g/dl und
  • <10% Plasmazellen im Knochenmark
  • keine Organschäden
