Morning Star

Der Morning Star ist eine linksgerichtete britische Tageszeitung mit einer Auflage von 13.000 bis 14.000[1] Exemplaren.

Die Zeitung ging aus der 1930 gegründeten Parteizeitung der Kommunistischen Partei Großbritanniens (Daily Worker) hervor. 1945 wurde sie von einer unabhängigen Leservereinigung (People's Press Printing Society) übernommen. 1966 erfolgte die Umbenennung in Morning Star.

Sie sieht sich als die „einzige sozialistische Tageszeitung Großbritanniens“ („Britain's only socialist daily“).

Zeitung

  • Morning Star heißt auch bekannteste und wichtigste Zeitung der nach den USA und Kanada ausgewanderten Kroaten. Einer der Herausgeber war Castimir Timothy Majić. Von den Kroaten in den USA wurde sie auch Danica genannt.
