4Aloysius Caraffa, Abb. (18. Nov.) Aloysius, aus dem vornehmen Geschlechte Caraffa in Italien (Neapel), wählte frühzeitig den Ordensstand des hl. Benedict und wurde in der Folge Abt seines Klosters. Er starb im J. 1664 in einem Alter von 76 Jahren, nachdem er 60 Jahre im Orden zugebracht hatte. Bei Bucelin wird er unter die »Ehrwürdigen« gerechnet. (Buc. Suppl.)
