Libanus

Libanus steht am 11. März (II. 53) bei den Bollandisten unter den Prätermissen als »Abt von Hy« mit Libernus de Cluainfoda, Mosenocus oder Senocus Beithech, Gellocus oder Kellocus und Cuana Dal, d.i. blind, und mit dem Bemerken, daß es dem Hagiologen Colganus unbekannt sei, wer sie seien und wann sie gelebt haben. In Dr. Kelly's Mart. Tamlact. findet sich ein Liban, Atha Egais am 1. Juni und am 18. Dec. ein Libani, aber leider ohne nähere Bezeichnung. Dagegen steht am 8. März ein Liberi und Libreini; dann am 11. März ein Librani und ein Libren Cluanafota. Da nun in Dr. Reeves121 »Leben des hl. Columba, des Stifters von Hy«, im Index ein Libran (Libranus) als Abt von Hy vorkommt, so ist es höchst wahrscheinlich, daß dieser hier gemeint sei, während ein Liban oder Libanus sich dort nicht findet.
