Aethelstanus

Aethelstanus, Ep. (10. Febr.) Der Bischof Aethelstan zu Hereford war ein Mann von großer Heiligkeit und 13 Jahre hindurch blind, weßhalb er einen Stellvertreter annehmen mußte. Er starb im J. 1056 auf seiner bischöflichen Villa, die Bosanbirig hieß, und wurde von da nach Hereford gebracht.
