Pelite (Pelitische Gesteine), Trümmergesteine, die vollkommen homogen erscheinen, aber aus seinen Staubkörnchen oder Schüppchen eines oder mehrerer Mineralien gebildet sind; oft ausgezeichnet schieferig (Schieferton, Grauwackenschiefer, Tonschiefer).
