Pitigliano (spr. -tiljāno), Stadt in der ital. Provinz und dem Kreise Grosseto, Sitz des nach dem benachbarten Sovana (s. Sorano) benannten Bistums, hat einen Dom (16. Jahrh.), eine Marienkirche (11.–15. Jahrh.), ein Orsini-Kastell (13. Jahrh.), eine Bibliothek, Ölgewinnung und (1901) 4416 Einw.
