Bylaws (engl., spr. bāīlaos; die Ableitung vom angelsächs. bye, »Ortschaft«, also »Ortsgesetz«, ist bestritten), in England Bezeichnung für Ausführungsverordnungen zu Gesetzen, dann für Ortsstatuten und Polizeiverordnungen, die sich auf eine einzelne Ortsgemeinde, Kirchspielsgemeinde oder auf gewisse Körperschaften beziehen.
