Door, Anton, Pianist, geb. 20. Juni 1833 in Wien, Schüler von Czerny und S. Sechter, konzertierte bereits 1850 erfolgreich in Baden-Baden und Wiesbaden, dann mit Ludwig Straus in Italien, bereiste 1856–57 Skandinavien und wurde in Stockholm zum Hofpianisten und Mitglied der königlichen Akademie ernannt. Er war dann zehn Jahre lang als Klavierlehrer am kaiserlichen Konservatorium zu Moskau tätig und 1869–1901 Professor am Konservatorium der Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien. 1877 machte er eine Konzertreise mit Sarasate durch Österreich-Ungarn; später trat er mit Erfolg in Leipzig, Berlin, Amsterdam etc. auf.
