Gianturco

Gianturco: Gianturco (spr. dschan-), Emanuele, ital. Staatsmann, geb. 20. März 1857 in Avigliano, studierte zu Neapel gleichzeitig Jurisprudenz und Musik, war eine Zeitlang als Advokat tätig, habilitierte sich als Privatdozent und wurde, nachdem er Professuren in Macerata und Perugia abgelehnt hatte, 1889 in die Deputiertenkammer gewählt, wo er sich der Linken anschloß. 1892 wurde er zum ordentlichen Professor des bürgerlichen Rechts an der Universität zu Neapel ernannt; 1893 war er Mai bis September Unterstaatssekretär der Justiz im Ministerium Giolitti, 1896–97 erst Unterrichtsminister, dann Justizminister unter di Rudini, Juni 1900 bis Februar 1901 leitete er unter Saracco zum zweitenmal das Justizministerium. Er ist Verfasser mehrerer geschätzten juristischen Handbücher.
